Forensic Investigation & Research (FI&R), we are committed to providing professional, confidential, and reliable investigation services. Because every investigation requires time, planning, resources, and professional expertise, this Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the terms related to payments, cancellations, and refunds.
By hiring our services, you agree to the following terms.
Payment Policy
Clients agree to pay all fees according to the agreed terms and conditions before or during the investigation, as specified in the service agreement.
Delayed or unpaid invoices may result in the suspension or cancellation of investigation services until all outstanding payments have been received.
Cancellation by the Client
Clients may request to cancel an investigation by providing written notice through email or other approved communication.
If the cancellation request is received before any investigation work has started, FI&R may issue a refund after deducting any administrative or processing charges, if applicable.
If the investigation has already started, any refund will be based on the work completed, time spent, operational expenses, and third-party costs already incurred.
Once an investigation has been substantially completed or the final report has been delivered, no refund will be provided.
Cancellation by FI&R
FI&R reserves the right to suspend or cancel services if:
The client provides false, misleading, or incomplete information.
The requested investigation involves illegal, unethical, or unlawful activities.
The client fails to make payments according to the agreed terms.
The client breaches the service agreement or these policies.
In such cases, any refund will be considered only after deducting the cost of work already completed and expenses incurred.
Refund Policy
Investigation services are professional services rather than physical products. Therefore, refunds are not guaranteed once work has begun.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed only under the following circumstances:
Duplicate payment made by the client.
Payment received due to a verified billing error.
Services cancelled by FI&R before any investigation work begins, unless the cancellation is due to the client’s breach of the agreement.
Approved refunds will generally be processed using the original payment method within a reasonable period, subject to banking and payment provider processing times.
Non-Refundable Charges
The following charges are generally non-refundable:
Consultation fees
Case assessment fees
Investigation planning charges
Surveillance expenses
Travel and accommodation expenses
Third-party service fees
Government fees or statutory charges
Costs incurred before cancellation
Changes to Investigation Scope
If the client requests additional services or changes to the agreed scope of work after the investigation has started, additional charges may apply. These charges will be communicated and approved before the extra work begins.
